Girls Cricket

The Greenwich Junior Cricket Academy runs the only club dedicated exclusively to girls in the borough.

We always welcome new players age 7 to 15, whether you’re just starting out or are an aspiring county or England cricketer.

The club, formerly Colfeians Girls CC, operates all year round. In spring and summer we train on Wednesday evenings from 5.30 to 7 at Blackheath Prep School, 4 St Germans Place, Blackheath SE3 0NJ. There are hardball nets and training for older girls and introductory softball coaching for beginners. During the winter we use local schools and sports centres for indoor coaching. All our training is carried out by experienced ECB-qualified and CRB-checked coaches.

As founder members of the Kent Cricket Board’s Under 15 and Under 13 leagues, and through our membership of the Greenwich District Development Group, we play lots of competitive league cricket in the spring and summer. Our girls also regularly feature as finalists in the London Youth Games cricket competition and we enter soft-ball Under 11 tournaments and have friendly matches at all age levels – including indoor winter fixtures.
